Message from the Chair of Governors
As Chair of Governors, it gives me great pleasure in welcoming you to Cleeve Primary School. We are a highly committed and active governing body who place inclusivity, care and wellbeing of pupils and staff at the heart of everything we do. As well as fulfilling our duties by both supporting and challenging Mrs Bell and her senior leadership team – we also love to be involved in the day-to-day events.
As someone with 17 years’ experience of teaching on Bransholme, I am passionate and immensely proud of the educational ethos we have at Cleeve - and the care and support we offer hundreds of pupils each year. Our strategic vision enables pupils to learn in a safe and vibrant learning environment.
The most important measure of our effectiveness as a school is the amount of progress (both academically and socially and emotionally) pupils make in the short, medium and long term. It is clear that children’s progress in any school is heavily influenced by the support and guidance they receive at home as well as at school. Whether it is from reading or writing together, practising maths skills – or simply modelling positive attitudes and behaviour every day, the influence of people involved in the outside school lives of Cleeve pupils is central to their success.
As parents and carers, you are very much part of our whole school community - and we very much look forward to working with you over the coming months and years.
